If you have pins out your toes I would recommend sleeping with your shoe to protect the pins. 

If you don't have pins you are probably okay unless told otherwise.

I usually recommend taking it easy the first few days. Keep your foot up and elevated until you feel better and reduce walking as much as possible. 

You can shower but I recommend being careful and using a shower cover you can get online or at the office. 

If your bandage gets wet please contact the office to see if you need to come in. A wet bandage increases the risk of infection. 

If you have pins try not to pull them out. This can happen when putting on socks or changing shoe gear. 

Be extra careful and if there is a problem contact the office. 

If you have hospital surgery please check with your doctor.

If you have a simple office procedure such as an ingrown toenail you can be active as soon as you are comfortable however if you have pain stop that activity.
