Many of my patients have to buy shoes with removable sock liners. Here in this example you can see the inside of the shoe has a part that is not glued down. This is the sock liner and protects your foot in your shoe. This is important because when you wear orthotics they only fit in shoes with this type of a liner. Make sure you buy that type of shoe. It can be found on running and dress shoes alike. If you try to fit an orthotic in a shoes that does not have a removable liner it may be too tight and injure your foot.
