This is a picture of our drop foot brace and it is used for people that have difficulty lifting up their foot when walking. I recently treated a patient that was used to tripping quite frequently due to a mild stroke that left one side of her body weaker than the other. I suggested she use this brace and she has found it much safer walking and has limited the number of times she has fallen. The brace took only a few weeks to get used to and she was even able to continue driving with it on her foot.
There are varying levels of assistance that can be integrated to the brace using different density plastic inserts as seen below.
