Compression Stockings During Pregnancy

Running O2 Black
I have many patient's that when they are pregnant develop increased swelling in their legs and they become very uncomfortable when walking and even standing.  Many develop varicose veins that can be displeasing.  For all of my patients who have swelling during pregnancy I recommend compression stockings to reduce the swelling.  It is best to put them on in the morning before getting out of bed and wear them when walking and active.  They help increase venous blood return to the heart and soft tissue recovery.  They are also good for athletes and those going on plane rides.
